RAF Halton would like to inform the local community that flying activity will resume at RAF Halton airfield from Saturday 20 June. Following changes to COVID-19 government guidelines and in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority regulations, the airfield will begin a phased and controlled return to recreational flying.
The return of flying activity is to ensure that pilots are able to preserve their minimum capabilities in terms of currency to mitigate skill-fade and facilitate a safe return to full time operations once permitted.
When flying resumes, it will initially consist of powered-flying during the week and glider-flying during the weekends. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact the Station’s Media and Communications Officer (details available on the RAF Halton webpage).
