Dear Wendover resident,
A two-week programme to lay a very low noise surface on the Wendover bypass will start at 7pm on Friday (September 20th) with a weekend closure for preparation work, until 6am on Monday the 23rd September.
The bypass will then close every weekday night from 23rd September to the 4th October between the hours of 7pm to 6am, with narrower lanes and a 30mph speed limit during the day. A second weekend closure is planned from 7pm on Friday 27th September to 6am on Monday 30th September.
Diversion routes will be clearly signed and advanced notices have been placed on all major approaches.
May we take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any disruption caused during installation. This is the first time very low noise surfacing will be installed on a Buckinghamshire road, and we are really pleased that Wendover residents will get the specialist surface they overwhelmingly opted for at the consultation at the end of last year.
We will issue an update bulletin mid-way through the installation and one at the end once the project has been completed.
